National Digital Library of In 2.1.0

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, under its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology, has introduced the National Digital Library of India (NDL India) pilot project. The objective of this project is to create a comprehensive virtual repository of learning resources with an efficient search function.

NDL India utilizes filtered and federated searching techniques to facilitate focused searches, allowing learners to find the most relevant resources with minimal effort and in a shorter amount of time. The platform is designed to hold content in any language and provides interface support for various vernacular languages. It caters to learners of all academic levels, including researchers and life-long learners, across all disciplines, and accommodates different types of access devices and differently-abled learners.

The platform aims to assist students in preparing for entrance and competitive examinations, enable people to learn and adopt best practices from around the world, and facilitate researchers in conducting interconnected exploration from multiple sources.
